With the increase in wood framing projects – due to advancement in wood engineered products and green objectives that drive local sourcing – there is a significant increase in large scale water intrusion failures showing up in buildings constructed by GCs who are primarily used to concrete frame buildings. Given the many different scopes of work intersecting at this condition, how does one properly allocate responsibility?

Window, window surround, stucco and stucco band, brick, flashing, wrap, paint and sealant, GC, design, maintenance… anyone I missed?
